Self-defence is a skill that must be possessed by everyone because no one is guaranteed with 24X7 security everywhere. There are instances when there won’t be anyone and you will need to act instantly. The art of self-defence teaches and makes one aware of the vulnerable parts of human bodywhich can be targeted to save oneself from unforeseen attacks. Knowing the art of self-defence is an added advantage to ensure staying safe even when one is alone.
It is so common that every day several men and women get victimized by criminals across the whole country. Both urban and rural areas are equally succumbed to crime and violence these days. Our special focus is on training women with the art of self-defence. We hire professional trainers to educate girls with self-protection tactics. The primary challenge that we deal with is changing the mindset of people about how they see women in the society. Only then we proceed forward to the next level. The most common cases filed every day are of eve-teasing, molestations, sexual harassments etc. Art of self-defence protects and ensures the safety of women from such events.
Masa World Foundation works whole heartedly to reduce the crime events and make women powerful enough to protect themselves in such situations. We also train women to be aware of the necessary actions that must be taken if caught under such situations. Though women are more prone but men are not an exception to these instances. So, we also conduct awareness programs for men and provide self-defence training sessions to them.

Gender Equality
India is the largest democracy in the world. People talk about its diversity and culture across the globe. It has achieved position amongst the top ten largest economies of the world. In spite of all these, women in India are treated differently. Compared to men, India’s women are remarkably less literate, less honoured, and less credited for their skills and achievements. Even at work, they are less paid compared to men for same work done. Isn’t it what we call as “Gender Inequality”?
Our leaders and statesmen talk about gender equality all the time but still we see the disparity for women across India. Even today people of all class prefer to have a son rather than a daughter. Girls encounter inequality, violence, cruelty, suppression, at every level. Be it home, school, college, or office, the gender equality gap exists everywhere. The World Economic Forum has ranked India at 114th position in the Global Gender Gap Index amongst 142 countries in the world. Isn’t it a pity?
Masa World Foundation condemns this gender inequality and works to promote women empowerment. We continuously strive to offer a tension-free space for women to discuss their issues and find collective solutions to their problems. We work in an organized manner to support the needy women who are suffering from gender inequality evils of the society. By educating women and providing them the right awareness, we are helping the weaker women become strong.
We help women by counselling them to recognize their strengths and face every situation boldly. We promote women literacy as we believe that education is the first ground that can help them understand their strengths. Health
Health is wealth and it holds true for people of all classes of society. Whether one is rich or poor, health is the most priceless asset for every human being on earth. But, regrettably, in a vast country like India, basic healthcare services are not easily accessible to everyone. People in villages, slums, and streets are not fortunate enough to see good hospitals or dispensaries around them.
It is heartbreaking to see that even after so many years of independence, the health statistics of rural India is still notably poor. The ease of access to healthcare services for the poor people living in villages and slums is still not good. The slum dwellers and underprivileged people suffer from adverse health issues and lose their lives due to a lack of basic healthcare facilities.
The main reasons for health problems in these sections of society are lack of education and lack of awareness. Also, the unwillingness of the poor people to lose a day’s wage in order to visit a medical facility in their vicinity is a major cause of this plight. This is why we are trying to address the healthcare problems of underprivileged people and arrange for their needs.
We, at Masa World Foundation, are dedicated to providing basic healthcare services who are not able to have access to it. We work in close collaboration with government as well as private organizations to deliver healthcare services to the needy. We strive to secure easily accessible maternity and childcare facilities to the lower section of society. Our health program also includes disaster health relief services.
We also work towards finding the root causes that hinder the reach of healthcare services to these people. By addressing these challenges and identifying the reasons, we make every effort to solve the problems. We try our best to secure quality healthcare services for people who cannot pay for them. We arrange free and subsidized health services for the poor and lower-class people.
Sponsoring free medicines are encouraged so that people don’t die due to lack of money. Right from providing basic neonatal childcare to their immunization, we pay heed to every stage. We have partnered with healthcare organizations to help fight malnutrition, inhibit infant and maternal demises and combat deadly epidemic diseases. Youth Development Programs
The youth development programs at Masa World Foundation are designed to help the young generation of the lower segment of the society to meet the challenges of life. We train the teenagers to pull out the best of their adolescence and utilize their full potential in whatever they do. We promote the youth development programs by conducting activities and training sessions that help the youth build social, ethical, and perceptive competencies in themselves.
The society around us is filled with young kids and teenagers who possess the talents and skills that are usually looked for by job providers. But, unfortunately, most of these kids either don’t get sufficient resources to complete their studies or fail to utilize their education in securing a proper job for themselves.
